How to Enable USB Debugging (no-root)
Before you can use the ADB command, you need to enable Developer Options and USB Debugging on your
device. This is a standard, one-time setup process on Android.
Step 1: Open Settings
Navigate to the main Settings app on your Android device.
Step 2: Find Build Number
Scroll down and tap on 'About phone'. Look for an entry named
'Build number'. On some devices (like Xiaomi or Samsung), you may need to
tap on 'Software information' first to find the Build number.

Tap on 'Build number' seven (7) times in a row. You will see a small pop-up
message saying "You are now X steps away from being a developer." After the 7th tap, it will
say "You are now a developer!". You may be asked to enter your phone's PIN or password.
Step 4: Find Developer Options
Go back to the main Settings screen. You will now find a new menu item called
'Developer options'. It's usually located under Settings >
System, but can sometimes be found at the very bottom of the main settings
list.
Step 5: Enable USB Debugging
Tap on 'Developer options' to open it. Scroll down until you find the
'USB debugging' toggle and turn it on. A dialog box will appear asking you
to confirm; tap 'OK'.

App Froster can be activated using Profile Owner (no root) or Root Access
Optional but Recommended: The "Running" tab requires you to grant the
Usage Stats permission from your phone's settings.
Profile Owner (No Root Required)
Important: This process requires temporarily removing all Google and
phone manufacturer accounts from your device first. Please ensure you have backed up any
important data associated with these accounts and that you know your passwords. You can
log back into your accounts after App Froster has been successfully activated.
Step 2: Run ADB Command Connect your phone to your PC. Open your
terminal (e.g., PowerShell on Windows, Terminal on
Mac) and run the following command:
This command grants App Froster the necessary Profile Owner permissions.
OR
Root Access
Step 1: Root Your Device
Ensure your device is rooted with a reliable solution like Magisk.
Step 2: Grant Superuser Permission
Upon first launch, App Froster will request Superuser permission. Grant it when prompted.
Uninstall App Froster
Step 1: Run ADB Command
Connect your phone to your PC. Open your terminal (e.g., PowerShell on Windows, Terminal on
Mac) and run the following command:
This command will remove App Froster's Profile Owner status.
Step 2: Uninstall App Froster
Once deactivated via the ADB command, you can now uninstall App Froster like any other
application from your app drawer or through Settings > Apps.
If the command fails
If you encounter issues and the ADB command does not work, it might be due to a leftover
work profile. In rare cases, you may need to factory reset your device to fully remove the
profile owner if standard deactivation fails.
Important Notices

Love App Froster? Help Us Grow!
App Froster is completely free to use, but developing and maintaining it requires significant effort
and resources. While the app itself costs you nothing, the tools and software (like my coding
software, which
costs $110.09 annually) come with a price tag.
Your generous contribution helps cover these costs, allowing me to dedicate more time to improving
App Froster, adding new features, and ensuring it remains the best app freezer for everyone. Every
little bit makes a huge difference!
